    A new privatization push has been instructed by Hanoi as the country’s sovereign wealth fund, the State Capital and Investment Corporation, will sell stakes in ten companies. The divestments are expected to raise more than US$ 3 billion to pay off public debt and to upgrade the country’s healthcare sector. The following is a list of these ten companies with the state’s current shareholding stake and book value.

    1. Vietnam Dairy Products JSC (Vinamilk)
      • Current State Shareholding: 45.1%
      • Book Value of State Capital: VND 795 billion
    2. Bao Minh Insurance Corporation
      • Current State Shareholding: 50.7%
      • Book Value of State capital: VND 383 billion
    3. FPT Joint Stock Corporation
      • Current State Shareholding: 6%
      • Book Value of State Capital): VND 44.3 billion
    4. FPT Telecom Company
      • Current State Shareholding: 50.17%
      • Book Value of State Capital: VND 625 billion
    5. Sa Giang Import Export JSC
      • Current State Shareholding: 45.1%
      • Book Value of State Capital: VND 20.8 billion
    6. Vietnam National Reinsurance Corporation
      • Current State Shareholding: 40.36%
      • Book Value of State Capital: VND 529 billion
    7. Ha Giang Engineering and Mineral Company
      • Current State Shareholding: 46.6%
      • Book Value of State Capital: VND 29.3 billion
    8. Tien Phong Plastic Company
